Running and Coaching

I love to run. Below are photo links to a few race reports/essays I have written about some of the more colorful adventures and epiphanies I have had on the roads and trails.

I hope you find them inspirational.

One thing I love as much as running is helping others run. I am an RRCA - certified and experienced coach and long-distance runner, was first female at the Wild Oak Trail 100 miler, first female, 4th place overall and course record setter at the Annapolis Run your Town 24 hour, and 2nd place female at the Zion 100 miler. But as anyone who runs races knows, the real race is aways with yourself, and the accomplishments are often much harder to measure than with placement or awards. So I write about it.

One of the most important things I have learned from years of running is that all of it: the training, the racing, even the slogs through bad weather and the struggle at the beginning — can have the most positive effect on all areas of your life, and can even be immensely fun! Let me show you how.

If you don’t run and would like to, if you think you could do with some help to train for a race of any distance, or simply want to be a better runner, I would love to help! Hit me up for coaching on my Contact page.
